Fanless industrial imaging computer

Matrox® 4Sight EV7 is an industrial computer built for demanding multi-camera machine vision applications on the factory floor. Part of a long and solid history, the Matrox 4Sight EV7 is an evolution of its immediate predecessor, integrating a twelfth-generation twelve-core Intel® Core™ processor that includes acceleration for deep learning inference or prediction. A fanless design with multiple ports for GigE Vision® and USB3 Vision® cameras makes the Matrox 4Sight EV7 right at home in any production facility, keeping an eye on a single line or many production lines.

Matrox 4Sight EV7 vision controllers are supported by two comprehensive software platforms: Matrox Design Assistant® X is a flowchart-based integrated development environment (IDE), whereas Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) X is a software development kit (SDK) for more traditional programmers. Engineers and technicians can quickly configure and deploy machine vision applications to Matrox 4Sight EV7 vision controllers using the range of included software tools for video capture, analysis, classification, location, measurement, reading, verification, communication, and I/O operations.

Expandable entry-level vision controller

Matrox® 4Sight XV6 is an expandable ruggedized computer designed for demanding imaging workloads. Its reliable platform is ideal for video acquisition, offering four full-height, half-length PCIe® expansion slots designed to host multiple cards, including frame grabbers operating at full performance. It can support up to three displays—VGA, DVI-D, HDMI™, and/or DisplayPort™—from the available outputs.

This powerful vision controller is the latest iteration of the Matrox 4Sight series, delivering desktop-level processing performance and ample expansion, all packaged in a small, sturdy casing. Powered by an eighth-generation Intel® Core™ processor, the Matrox 4Sight XV6 is capable of supporting intensive machine vision applications. Matrox 4Sight XV6 vision controllers are supported by two comprehensive software platforms: Matrox Design Assistant X is a flowchart-based integrated development environment (IDE), whereas Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) X is a software development kit (SDK) for more traditional programmers. Each software offers tools for video capture, analysis, classification, location, measurement, reading, verification, communication, and I/O operations so that engineers and technicians can quickly configure and deploy machine vision applications to Matrox 4Sight XV6 vision controllers.

High-fidelity 3D profile sensors

Matrox® AltiZ1 is a series of high-fidelity 3D profile sensors. Each sensor features a dual-camera single-laser design that greatly lessens the scanning gaps often encountered at critical surface junctures because of optical occlusions. Unique algorithms running inside the sensor automatically generate various types of reliable 3D data—individual profiles, depth maps, or point clouds—obtained by smartly combining or selecting the pixel data from the two integrated image sensors, which is automatically sampled for a constant horizontal resolution.

Multi-format multi-input UHD video capture card with optional H.264 encoding

Matrox® Clarity UHD is a comprehensive video capture card supporting the full range of video formats from standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD) all the way to ultra-high definition (UHD). Mini DisplayPort, HD-BNC, HDMI, and custom analog DVI1 connectivity are provided to hook up to and switch between the different types of legacy and advanced video sources used in medical, surveillance, and simulation-training applications. System setup and management are further simplified with the board’s automatic video source presence and format detection. Matrox Clarity UHD can simultaneously acquire multiple streams—such as eight HD (1080p60) or two 4K UHD (2160p60) video streams—and reliably transfer these off-board using its efficient PCIe® 2.0 x8 host interface.

Multi-port Gigabit Ethernet adaptors with PoE for GigE Vision

Matrox® Concord PoE is a new generation of Gigabit Ethernet adaptors for interfacing one or more GigE Vision® cameras supporting Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Available with two or four Gigabit Ethernet ports, these network interface cards (NICs) simplify system configuration, not only by handling command and streaming protocols but also providing power over a single standard Cat 5e/6 cable per camera connection. An isolated PoE implementation protects cameras, board, and host computer from damage due to electrical faults and stray current that adversely affects camera detection.

Matrox Concord PoE also provides—as an option—a useful Trigger-over-Ethernet (ToE) capability for multiple cameras working together. The hardware-assisted ToE capability allows the sending of a software trigger or an action-command to one or more cameras based on an external input event. The ToE applies to camera(s) on the same or multiple Ethernet ports for a given trigger event. Moreover, this ToE feature helps reduce trigger latency and remove jitter brought on by a non-deterministic host environment.

Intuitive, versatile, and extendable integrated development environment for machine vision applications

Matrox Design Assistant® X1 is an integrated development environment (IDE) for Microsoft® Windows® where vision applications are created by constructing an intuitive flowchart instead of writing traditional program code. In addition to building a flowchart, the IDE enables users to design a graphical web-based operator interface for the application.

Matrox Design Assistant X can operate independent of hardware, allowing users to choose any computer with CoaXPress®, GigE Vision®, or USB3 Vision® cameras and get the processing power needed. Image capture from CoaXPress cameras happens with the use of a Matrox Rapixo CXP frame grabber. Matrox Design Assistant X works with multiple cameras all within the same project, or per project running concurrently and independently from one another, platform permitting. This field-proven software is also a perfect match for a Matrox Imaging vision controller or smart camera. Matrox Design Assistant X includes classification steps that categorize image content using deep learning.

This flowchart-based vision software offers the freedom to choose the ideal platform for any vision project and speeds up application development.
