About this series

The Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) part of the infrared spectrum covers roughly the 3 to 5 µm wavelength band. MWIR cameras are typically used for thermal imaging and thermography applications in security and R&D.

Xenics offers a variety of cooled MWIR area cameras and camera cores.

Tigris 640 Series

Cooled mid-wave infrared camera

The Tigris 640 is a cooled mid-wave infrared (MWIR) camera with a state-of-the-art InSb or MCT detector with 640 x 512 resolution.

The Tigris 640 InSb is able to provide a maximum frame rate of up to 320 Hz. The Tigris 640 MCT offers maximum full frame rate of up to 105 Hz. A window of interest (WOI) is available for higher frame rates for both InSb and MCT.

We offer broadband versions for extended spectral sensitivity into the short-wave infrared (SWIR) band. Tigris 640 uses either a CameraLink or GigE Vision digital interface. Analog out, HD-SDI and triggering are also available.

On the Tigris 640 InSb, we offer several temperature calibrations (-20-170°C, 120-350°C, 150-500°C).
