Up-to-date camera concepts bring the best out of the sensitive analog CCD sensor signal. It will be converted into a digital signal close to the sensor by means of precise A/D converters. Due to the latest transmission technology, cable lengths of 100 m (and more!) are not an issue any more. Data rates of up to 100MByte/s per channel allow for the use in a large spectrum of applications. The image is available for any further processing without quality loss. And the best of all is: The necessary facilities and utilities are often already available at your premises.
